APGT1604 PDFR APGT1604-G2 YD101 H01 Aluminum Cutter Blade Insert Cutting Tool TIN Alloy wood
Application:
Long tool life
For the machining of non-ferrous metals and non metals we offer carbide grades that are highly resistant to wear, which impress with extremely long tool life. Thanks to their optimised geometry, our inserts require only minimal cutting force and thus work extremely economically.
High-quality surfaces
Very clean surfaces on the component are brought about by good swarf control. Additionally, the sharp blades make for minimal formation of burrs.
The AK chipbreaker features a 3 dimensional rake angle which provides excellent chip breaking and control, ensuring longer tool life and trouble free machining of aluminium and soft non-ferrous materials. The buffed top face prevents built up edge whilst the sharp ground cutting edge ensures exceptional surface finish.
1 | AK inserts are designed with a special chipbreaker. Large rake angle and clearance angle make the cutting edge sharper, ensuring easier cutting while remaining effective chip breaking. |
2 | Uncoated cemented carbide grade is widely used for machining of non-ferrous metal, high remperature alloy, etc. It is economical and can be universally applied. |
3 | Achieved the mirror rake face after special treatment. Reduced the friction resistence, and stick free. Accordingly, make the chip removal fluently and improve the surface quality and tool life |
Aluminium castings find a large use in the automotive industry. In some applications, however, especially where high temperatures and Wear are involved, aluminium may fail to achieve the specifications. But, since very often only specific zones of the casting are exposed to these extreme conditions, it would be of great interest to locally reinforce the castings using an insert made of a higher performance material. Many different materials can be used for the insert. The use of steel inserts is well known indeed. In many cases, however, it would be of interest to use for the insert a special aluminium alloy, that is difficult to cast or use an aluminium insert produced by powder metallurgy or reinforced with ceramic particles or fibres, etc.
Description:
Solid carbide provides better rigidity than high speed steel. It is extremely heat resistant and used for high speed applications on 45steel, cast iron, nonferrous materials, plastics and other tough-to-machine materials.
